Description
The yatagan is a historic Ottoman short sabre used from the mid-16th to late 19th centuries, extensively employed across Ottoman Turkey, the Balkans, and the Caucasus. This training version brings that iconic design to the gym or training hall.
Crafted from durable polypropylene, this yatagan is built for light and semi-contact sword sparring. The material is virtually unbreakable, remarkably stiff, and cut-resistant—making it far superior to wooden or metal training weapons. It’s lightweight yet sturdy enough to handle regular training sessions without the safety concerns of traditional blades.
At 89cm long and weighing just 330g, it’s easy to handle for extended training periods while maintaining the authentic feel and balance of the historical weapon.
